Kalawana - The Hamlet
On June 21st 2007 we were on a field visit in Kalawana where we took a detour to explore a forest patch in the village of Weddagala. 2Km's from Weddagala junction on Rakwana Road there is turn to your left, just 500mtrs before Rock View Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. Wright Tour in Udawalawe Camping, Horton Plains, Nuwara Eliya and White Water Rafting in Kitulgala

First Bird Sanctuary in Sri Lanka, unfortunately getting less attention. Approximately 20 KMs from Tangalle in the deep south. And Ideal stop over on your way to Yala National Park. Kalamatiya Lagoon is full of migratory and endemic Birds.
