An itinerary for the traveler who wants to experience Sri Lanka in its purest authentic format.
Suggested accommodation options are either mobile tented camps when trekking or in the wild, home stays, basic lodges and eco retreats. Most of the days all meals are included as we venture out to remote areas except few days where you have the option of going out for dinner or lunch on your own. The trip mainly consists of trekking in the mountains, visiting tribal people, going on safaris, adventures activities and visiting cultural sites. This trip is only for the nature enthusiasts and the comfort level is limited and most of the time you will be taken through off the beaten path.
Visiting Veddha tribes, scenic train trip from Kandy to Haputale, Hiking in the Knuckles mountains, White water rafting, Elephants in Gal Oya National Park, Leopards in Yala National Park and Sinharaja Rain Forest walk are some of the highlights of the trip. The nature trails will take you through the most scenic parts of Sri Lanka such as Ohiya, Horton Plains National Park and Dumbara Valley. Bentota home stay will enable you to understand a daily life of a common man in Sri Lanka.
Adam’s peak climb and Whale watching in the Indian Ocean is optionally provisioned and can be done during December to April.
