DAY 1 & 2 - Galle
On your arrival in Colombo, be transferred to southern capitol of Colombo, Galle where you will be staying in a boutique hotel near Galle town for two nights. Galle is an interesting town where one could immerse in culture, food, beach and history. Dutch Fort of Galle is the centre point of the two days in Galle. Explore fish and vegetable market, walk inside Dutch Fort to explore interesting architectural marvels of by gone era and also you may venture out to Unawatuna beach for a gastronomical experience where seafood eateries on the beach are in abundance. Galle, is a very good base to start your holiday in Sri Lanka.
DAY 3, 4 & 5 - Ella
On your way to Ella from Galle, stop for a guided afternoon safari in Udawalawe National Park where you could see large Elephant herds in close quarters. Not only Elephants, Udawalawe is a very popular bird watching site in Sri Lanka.
In Ella, you could explore the town and it's many a road side cafes for chilled beers and great local food. Walk to 9 Arch bridge, an architectural marvel done by the British's during the colonial days where you would be able to see the train coming out of the tunnel on its way to Kandy. If you an adventurous one, trek to Little Adam's Peak for a stunning view of the Ella Gap. DAY 6 - Colombo
Before being transferred to capital Colombo, take part in a guided Tuk Tuk trip in a Tea estate in Haputale. Tuk Tuk ride is a very interesting experience where you would be able to walk inside a Tea estate, witness the Tea manufacturing process at Dambatenna Tea factory and ending at Lipton’s Seat, the place where Sir Thomas Lipton used to gaze on his Tea empire. DAY 7 - Departure
