Day 01
Embark on your journey with a transfer from Kandy, spanning 22 kilometers on Mahinyangana road, followed by another 18 kilometers inland via van. Your trek commences amidst picturesque landscapes, including home spice gardens, vegetable fields, rice fields, tea plantations, pigmy forests, and plateaus. The trek extends approximately 8 kilometers one way, totaling 16 kilometers, concluding at a serene waterfall base ideal for swimming. Expect to encounter diverse wildlife species such as Deer, Barking deer, Deer monkeys, and various types of lizards as you ascend from 1200 ft to 1850 ft. Enjoy a tranquil evening at a small lodge nestled in the Knuckles mountain range, situated above 1200 ft from sea level.
Day 02
Following breakfast, embark on a scenic 6-kilometer trek to Corbet’s Gap, with a refreshing river bath opportunity along the way. Return to the lodge by 4 pm for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 03
After breakfast, embark on a circular trek spanning approximately 18 kilometers, traversing through tea plantations, pine forests, a typical Kandyan village, and rice fields. Immerse yourself in village culture and indulge in birdwatching amidst the natural splendor. Conclude your adventure with a transfer back to Kandy by 6 pm.
